Hon. Minister of Education expressed that all the arrangements have been made to begin the technical subject stream for General Certificate of Education, Advanced Level and it will be started in schools on 15 June 2013. Awareness program for the principals of 200 schools where this new subject stream is started was held in the auditorium of the Ministry on 03.06.2013 and there, the minister stated this. The minister said that through the study of this new subject stream, in addition to the students entering the universities by 2016, another 10000 students will be able to follow job oriented courses.
